HD Electric Company's NEW DVI-500 Digital Voltage Indicator

For more information on the DVI Series Digital Voltage Indicators as well as the rest of HDE's product line, please visit HD Electric's website HERE

HD Electric Company's NEW DVI-500 Digital Voltage Indicators are a new addition to our Digital Voltage Indicator line. The DVI is a direct contact, compact instrument designed to read the voltage on a conductor from 0.1kV up to 500kV line-to-ground and display the voltage on a large 3-digit ultra-bright LED display. The display is easy to read on the end of a long hotstick and can be used on overhead lines or in underground applications. The DVI-500T can also measure Elbow Test Points. An audible indication is given when voltage is detected, and allows the user to distinguish between nominal and induced voltages.

Everlast®

Tech Products, Inc. has been asked by a large investor-owned utility that has been a customer since 1977 for a solution to a tough identification challenge. As more and more utilities sell space to wireless companies on transmission towers the need to identify cable and sectors in the cell site has become critical. We at Tech Products using our revolutionary Everlast ® technology have invented the prefect solution. We created a five color coded sign that has copy on two sides that clearly identifies each sector in a cell site.

Everlast ® has been in production since 1989 and well tested in the world's worst environments from the Alaskan pipeline to Tucson, Arizona's transmission towers. This technology was invented to be legible for at least 40 years and based on the UL® testing that has been done to date, we have exceeded our expectations. Using Everlast ® in conjunction with an angle adapter, Tech Products is positioning the identification tags on a high cross member allowing for maximum visibility. The advantage of using the Everlast ® technology is the ability to put these signs in a hard to reach area using skilled lineman because there is no risk of having to replace them for the life of the towers. Once again, Tech Products, Inc. is at the forefront in solutions for the utility industry. Take a look

PowerPatch Pad N Pole Repair

Pad N Pole is a completely new and unique sealant for the repair of fiberglass or steel transformer pads and utility poles. Neighborhood transformer pads--sometimes referred to as bases, basements or pedestals--are often damaged by lawnmowers and weedwhackers, leaving gaping holes. Animals crawl in and contact live terminals or build nests that cause power outages or damage the expensive equipment. Children (or foolish adults) face a real danger of electrocution when they reach in or poke sticks inside. Pad N Pole satisfies the urgent safety imperative to cover these holes. Pad N Pole slashes the cost of alternative fixes, which usually involve cutting the power and replacing the pad.

Field trials have resulted in excellent repairs, excited customers, and significant sales! A Pad N Pole repair involves sealing a special matrix fabric over the damaged area and saturating it with more sealant, which cures to an extremely durable (and paintable!) covering. Minimal training is required for proficiency in application, and repairs are performed in the field within minutes, without the need for power outages or return visits. This is Polywater at its best, saving the planet ... one rodent at a time.
